Course Description:  302 Mechanical Engineering Laboratory I (both sem), 3 credits.

                        Measurement of important mechanical properties of materials and application to materials selection and component design.    Skills emphasized: knowledge and use of instrumentation for measurement of mechanical properties, experimental technique, design of experiments, statistical analysis of data, report writing, and oral presentation.  Prerequisites: MIE 201, 211, & 273, ENGL 351 (ENGL 351 may be taken concur­rently), MS Excel.
